Fox Sports announced today that long time NASCAR beat reporter and insider Bob Pockrass will join the NASCAR on Fox Team. Bob announced shortly after Homestead-Miami In 2018 that he was not renewed by ESPN. Many in NASCAR have been patiently waiting for what was next for Bob, praying he would continue in NASCAR.
Bob will contribute breaking news, analysis and inside information across FOX Sports’ linear and digital platforms, beginning with the season-opening Daytona Speedweeks.
“I love reporting on the sport for the fans, and I cherish the opportunity FOX Sports has given me to play a role in its NASCAR coverage,” Pockrass said. “I look forward to working with everyone at FOX Sports to provide insight on what is happening both on and off the track.”Prior to joining FOX Sports, Pockrass, who has covered NASCAR since 1991, wrote for ESPN.com’s NASCAR and motor sports sections from 2015-2018. He also penned NASCAR stories for “The Sporting News” from 2012-2014 following his role as associate editor for “NASCAR Scene” and SceneDaily.com from 2003-2012.
